Hi everyone, my name is Paige. These introductions are always so odd to me, so I guess I will just explain my background & what made me want to start blogging.
In high-school I worked as a ford model, it was an awesome experience that helped push me into what I know & love today. Being a model is a lot of standing around, getting poked at & told what to do. I always found myself wanting to do the styling instead of someone else telling me what to wear.
I would flip through the racks & say “oh can we use this!?” which was always quickly shot down with a ” No, Stop looking & start shooting“.
Needless to say I modeled for a few years & then graduated, from high-school & modeling. My senior year was filled with the basics dances, parties, shoots & uncertainties. I was the girl who had no clue what to do, it seemed as if everyone had their futures mapped out except me. On a trip to California with my mom for my birthday we did our normal shopping trips which turned into an idea. My mom said why can’t you open a store, I in turn thought she was nuts. Talking less than a week later we were in the works for 1HappyGirl.com
I finally had a road semi mapped out my web store was open and amazingly I was having sales the first week! I was ordering more and more, so I decided to stay home & take a few classes at the community college by me. I took a few of the fashion classes they offered second semester but I felt like I had already know everything they were learning from the experiences I was going through from my website.
Again, out with my mother & her friend who owned a flower shop in a cute downtown area. My mom had another idea, “Paige, why don’t you open up an actual store?” .. “Mom! Are You nuts!“.
Little to say again in less than a week I was signing a lease and picking paint colors. Since then I have opened that store and another one in Michigan, I have also started styling for photo shoots. My life is filled with fashion all day everyday and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Through the years I have picked up a few tricks of the trade and some great fashion tips. I figured a blog would be a great place to share all of my info.
Enjoy!
